Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC3)
Who should
attend: Entry-level
computer users and individuals with limited knowledge of computer
technology who want to gain valuable experience using Microsoft Word™,
Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet.

None

Note: IC3 is the
ideal starting point for anyone interested in learning
computer and Internet basics.
The program gives individuals sufficient internet and
computer literacy skills to enter current job markets or
begin higher education programs.
This hands-on class provides the foundation necessary
to further enhance productivity and marketability with other
desktop application-specific certifications.

Here’s
What You’ll Learn:

Computer
Fundamentals
– You’ll work with Microsoft Windows™ and learn the basics of
computer hardware and software - including the difference between an
operating system and applications software, i.e. word processors,
spreadsheets, etc. You’ll learn about files, folders and how to
create, move, copy and edit them.

Key
Applications
– You’ll learn to create documents in some of the most popular
computer software programs, i.e. Microsoft Word™, Excel, and
Outlook.

Living Online
- You’ll learn to surf the internet, search for specific web sites,
send and receive email. You’ll even learn to attach documents or
pictures to email messages for your friends and family to enjoy.

All training
is hands on in a small, cozy learning environment

Students
receive Microsoft approved training manuals to keep for class study
and quick reference of topics after class.
