Prerequisite:  None

Note:  IC3 is the ideal starting point for anyone interested in learning computer and Internet basics.  The program gives individuals sufficient internet and computer literacy skills to enter current job markets or begin higher education programs.  This hands-on class provides the foundation necessary to further enhance productivity and marketability with other desktop application-specific certifications.

 Here’s What You’ll Learn:

  • Computer Fundamentals – You’ll work with Microsoft Windows™ and learn the basics of computer hardware and software - including the difference between an operating system and applications software, i.e. word processors, spreadsheets, etc.  You’ll learn about files, folders and how to create, move, copy and edit them.

  • Key Applications – You’ll learn to create documents in some of the most popular computer software programs, i.e. Microsoft Word™, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Living Online - You’ll learn to surf the internet, search for specific web sites, send and receive email.  You’ll even learn to attach documents or pictures to email messages for your friends and family to enjoy.

  • All training is hands on in a small, cozy learning environment

  • Students receive Microsoft approved training manuals to keep for class study and quick reference of topics after class.

  • Supplemental handout material, as needed, to reinforce the learning experience

  • All classes taught by seasoned and patient instructors
