Martin Blackwell
Martin Blackwell, the Education Director, is a Microsoft Certified
Professional and Authorized Microsoft Office Instructor (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
Expert levels) with over fifteen years experience as a computer technician, including over
ten years in education, in both individual and classroom instruction. He spent many years
in the publishing field eventually using DTP technologies to produce several weekly and
monthly magazines before entering the computer field full-time as a consultant installing
and repairing computers, supporting software, setting up Windows networks and designing
web sites.
Martin's clients have included a range from legal firms to movie studios.
He was the founder of the Hollywood Computer User Group in the '80s, a contributor to
"The Underground Guide to Word for Windows" by Woody Leonhard (Addison-Wesley),
and has been published in Web Week magazine. His programming has been featured by the
prestigious Cobb Group journals. He is the author of several training manuals for
Right-Track Learning Center, and a member of the HTML Writers Guild. He produces seminars
for legal professionals in MS Word, and security for NT networks.
Scott Brown
Scott provides training and support to corporate clients for
"office-suite" applications software, databases, development tools, electronic
mail, group scheduling, desktop publishing, project management, operating systems (DOS,
Windows 3.1 & 95, Windows workstation and server), multimedia and
the Internet. He has worked with clients which include Universal Studios, Hughes, Litton,
Arco, DWP, LA County, MTA, Gas Company, Edison, Northrop, White Memorial Hospital, Lyon
& Lyon LLP, DirecTV, and Paramount Studios.
As Training Manager for Ashton-Tate Scott has designed, developed and
implemented product and sales training for dBASE and Framework product lines.
Michael Masarsky
Mike has worked in computer training for almost 20 years. His clients have included
Northrop-Grumman, Lockheed Skunkworks, Universal Studios, Disney Studios, Warner Brothers
Studios, Wells Fargo Bank, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, USC Medical Center, the Federal
Corrections Facilities in Lompoc, just to name a few.
Mike has taught several continuing education classes at LA Valley College, LA Mission
College, College of the Canyons and California State University Los Angeles. He has also
served on the training staffs of other well known training companies. Mike also served for
two years as the California State Advisor of the Future Business Leaders of America/Phi
Beta Lambda National Business Association, where he worked with numerous college students
across the state.
Mike is the recipient of Who's Who in America, Outstanding Young Students in America,
and graduated with honors from Florida State University with degrees in both Business
Administration and Government.
Charlotte Mathis
Charlotte Mathis provides training and consulting to corporate clients in
the areas of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and MS Project 98/2000.
Charlotte has over 8 years of Project Management experience as a former Project Manager
with Pacific Bell. She incorporates her "real world" project management skills
and experience directly to her MS Project training classes. She also teaches classes in
email applications, i.e., Lotus Notes, and Outlook. Other areas of
expertise include classes on Using the Internet as a Business Tool, and
operating systems, i.e. Windows.
Charlotte has worked as a consultant for the past 5 years as a trainer and project
manager. Some of her clients include City National Bank, DreamWorks SKG, City of Los
Angeles, Imperial Bank, Farmer's Insurance Group, CHARO CORP, Jet Propulsion Laboratory
(JPL), and Winstar Communications.
Her educational accomplishments include a Bachelor of Science degree in Business
Administration from the University of Laverne, and the completion of the Duke University
Fuqua School of Executive Business Education Advanced Management Program
Faye Moore
Faye holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Biology from the
University of Mississippi. She worked for Pacific Bell and AT&T for a combined 24
years as a technical consultant with special training in T1 and Frame Relay technology.
Her duties with AT&T involved design and installation of Local and Wide Area Networks
for large business customers in the Inland Empire.
Faye is MCSE, MCP, MCP+I, A+, and Network+ certified. Faye is currently employed as a
network administrator and an A+ and Network+ instructor.
Steve Nixon
Steve Nixon is a Certified Netware Engineer, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer,
MCP+I, A+ Certified and Network+ Certified technician with over 15 years of professional
computer training, consulting and technical support experience. As a Network Manager for
Universal Pictures, and a computer consultant for Walt Disney Imagineering, Steve has
designed, installed, maintained and supported numerous local and wide area network
systems.
While working in the studio environment, Steve's responsibilities included
developing training programs and conducting training classes on-site as well as
traveling
to satellite offices to conduct custom training classes.
Kathleen Ross
Kathy holds a Master's degree in Civil Engineering and a special Bachelors degree
combined with civil engineering and business. She has worked 8 years at JPL progressing
from computer consultant, to Training Engineer for the Magellan Project, then joining the
Operating Engineering Team as a Deep Space Network (DSN) Scheduler. For over
5 years Kathy
has provided computer training in Windows, the Microsoft
"Office-Suite" products, Schedule+, WordPerfect, and Lotus 1-2-3.
Kathy has provided training for corporate clients and other institutions
including Universal Studios, API Security, Crosby, Heafey, Roach & May law offices,
San Marino Community Church, and Volunteers of America.
Stacey Sarfati
Stacey graduated California State University at Northridge, Suma Cum Laude, with a
Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration/Accounting. She has worked as a
bookkeeper and accountant for private businesses, and CPA firms since 1983, servicing
clients in all of their needs including bookkeeping, financial statements, payroll,
preparing tax returns, and training employees in all aspects of manual and computerized
accounting systems.
She has been using QuickBooks since 1993, setting up numerous types of
businesses, including service industries such as doctors and lawyers, real estate
construction firms, and engineering companies. She has trained employees of these firms to
use payables, receivables, bank reconciliation, job costing, and the reporting and
graphing features of QuickBooks Pro. |
